History

When Hilltop Management's CEO Dave Popkin broke into the sports industry in 1993, he did so armed with two basic principles: provide outstanding client service and deliver exceptional results. Therefore, it is no surprise that when Popkin opened the doors of Hilltop, he did so with the goal of adhering to those very same ideals.

As Popkin enters his 25th year as a professional marketing and management executive, Hilltop has become one of the leading full-service consulting firms in the New York metropolitan area. By specializing in the development of strategic plans, media programs, marketing initiatives, and event management strategies, Hilltop Management is able to provide clients in the academic arena, sports business industry, non-profit sector, and corporate environment with all of the critical services they need under one roof.

Popkinā€™s two-decade-long track record of producing top level sales results (New Jersey Nets, Seton Hall Basketball), winning advertising campaigns (JAG Physical Therapy, Army Football, Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey), and nationally recognized event management strategies (Walk to Defeat ALS, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, LUNG FORCE walks) is enough to provide Hilltop clients with the expertise needed to achieve their goals. However, over the past several years, Popkin has recruited partners and stakeholders like Tim Capstraw (30-plus years experience as an athletic administrator and professional sports broadcaster), John Bacchia (an Emmy award winning producer/director with nearly 35 years experience creating compelling media platforms), and Matthew DeSantis (a 20-year veteran with a track record of successfully developing strategic plans for sports franchises, NCCA athletic administrations, and non-profits) in order to create a company that rivals any full-service consulting firm when it comes to C-level executive expertise, quantifiable results, and unparalleled client service.
